Hiatus over
showing a little leg
I’ve had a number of client projects wrapping up, but have been quite busy recently.
Most notably, I commend to you the Second Interim Report of the Wisconsin Office of the Special Counsel. It’s very long, but the meat of it is the Recommendations section, which is quite robust.
I’m bringing a variety of clients over to a very small nonprofit law firm now— I just started yesterday. I still have a few criminal defense and other clients in the crosshairs of the powers-that-be, but the meat of this firm is:
(1) Political law for based candidates, FEC, etc.
(2) Ethics / compliance for candidates and nonprofits on the right
(3) Nonprofit structure on the right
It’s already rather functional, but I hope to help them expand—the idea is to provide a comparatively cheap and aligned firm to provide services to the New Right. Non-litigating (other than aforementioned impact criminal defense). There is some thought to institutionalizing defense to the new David Brock initiative to try to debar lawyers, for example. And obviously there will be advising state governments and others on election-related issues. Some anti-CRT stuff too.
So it’s a nice platform of antifragile clients that will enable me to have my feet on, to be a public face once again, and to help shelter all the little orgs upon which the Eye of Sauron falls.
I’m also looking for at least one paralegal / admin person. Has to be totally aligned. Feel free to reach out with recs / resumes.
Spring has sprung.
Good to hear.
